Antar-Bhraman
Shishyaa's Cultural Community Initiative What is a community? An evolving set of people who come together because of shared values, thoughts and inspirations. Such groups hold within them a commitment to move forward as a whole, and continue to metamorphose together. The Shishyaa family that includes all parents and teachers is one such community that inspires, and gets inspired by the strengths of each other. Moments of such sharings leave a lasting impression and motive others too. This camaraderie enkindled the idea of formalizing this 'exchange' such that it honours every shared biography and emboldens faith in each other. Antar-Bhraman was born out of this innate desire. This community event is a platform created to provide our parents a conscious space of holding each other, and where each shares with the community, their inspirations and aspirations, allowing them to meet, acknowledge and reveal their truest selves. Held once every month, this gathering thus provides an opportunity to deepen cultural explorations and thereby bring to each other soul nourishment through compilations of poems, literature, music, classical dances, biographies, etc., that have left a mark. Every parent shares in complete freedom, what they think touched and transformed them. But the biggest opportunity is created for our children, who by virtue of being imbued in such a culturally rich environment, have the opportunity to see, hear and engage in this experience. What a gift to give to our children who are today growing in an irreverential, culturally uprooted and emotionally deprived society!! So Antar-Bhraman is... A journey of 'becoming'. A journey of seeking, finding and completion. A journey of realising that every step taken outside is truly a step taken within, towards knowing your own self. |
