"We are in a journey of becoming human; and that is the sole motive of my participation in the workshop ‘Humanising Education through Art, Music, Movement and Rhythm in the Waldorf Curriculum’ by Dr. Lakshmi Prasanna, co-founder and president of the Anthroposophical Medical Society in India.
Rudolf Steiner's child development philosophy emphasizes the significance of 'rhythm' at home and school. Creating productive rhythms of teaching and learning encourages the child to sustain a sense of wonder and interest in the world - to keep curiosity alive!
The workshop made me think about other things such as -
A good rhythm of food can keep the lamp inside you oiled well. Besides, image, rhythm, movement, and stories are powerful educational tools. Moreover, when implemented thoughtfully, they provide curriculum threads to children with a strong base for learning."

The workshop made me think about other things such as -
- How does a child develops in seven year cycles?
- Which are the common deviations in the development of the child?
- How well is the rhythm set in daily nutrition?
- Along with a balanced diet, how important is 'preparation of food'?
A good rhythm of food can keep the lamp inside you oiled well. Besides, image, rhythm, movement, and stories are powerful educational tools. Moreover, when implemented thoughtfully, they provide curriculum threads to children with a strong base for learning."
