Shishyaa opened doors to the pre-school from the academic year 2015-16, and opened the primary section with grade 1 in the year 2016-17, offering the international Waldorf Education (Dr. Rudolf Steiner). In time, we grow into a high school, that offers the *Cambridge Curriculum(CIE, UK).
Blended Curriculum Affiliating with CIE offers students an international platform with a wide range of opportunities both, within as well as outside the country. Alongside, we blend in the Steiner methodology creating a highly integrated approach in teaching the subjects, by aligning the physiological as well as the psychological milestones of a growing child with everything that is taught. This is experienced in the manner in which lessons are taught. The detailed and richly artistic curriculum scientifically responds to the child's developmental phases, right from early childhood. It also cultivates social and emotional intelligence by connecting children to nature and one's surroundings. |
The Pre-school Years:
We call it 'The Wonder Years'. This includes Playgroup, Nursery & the Kindergarten years where children learn primarily through imitation and imagination. The goal of these years is to work through the sense of wonder naturally gifted on to the young child, and fanning their curiosity, that finally ends in some form of 'self-designed' action. The Primary and Secondary Years: This is the grade school. During these years we will follow the Cambridge International Examinations(CIE) programmes:
